Christina Perri concert
Im a MASSIVE Christina Perri fan so when my lovely friend bought us tickets to go to her recent concert in Dublin i was ecstatic :D Christinas voice and the lyrics of her songs have always struck a chord with me and she always came across as a very down to earth girl. I expected her to be amazing live but she was even better than I had anticipated.
The concert was on in the Olyimpia theatre in Dublin. We had good seats up on one of the tiers and our view was very good. Her support act came on first. before the concert I hadn't given any thought to what the support act would be like but his name was Marcus foster and he had a great voice. He really set the atmosphere. When Christina came on the audience went crazy. She was so nice and spoke to the audience like we were her friends. You could tell that she was so grateful for her success. When she started singing her voice was just as good as it sounds on the radio and she could be heard really clearly across the whole theatre. It was so powerful and sweet. She sang lots of her songs and i really felt that she was enjoying herself. It wasn't like a job to her, it was something she just loved doing. The concert was absolutely excellent and if Christina ever comes back to Ireland im definitely going to go to another one of her concerts and I would recommend it to anyone! she is an inspiration.

Personal Pick - Book Review: The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins. It was originally published in hardcover on September 14, 2008. It is written in first person and introduces sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where the countries of North America once existed. The Capitol, a highly advanced metropolis, holds absolute power over the rest of the nation. The Hunger Games are an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts surrounding the Capitol are selected by lottery to compete in a televised battle in which only one person can survive.
The book has been released as a paperback and also an audiobook and e-book. The Hunger Games had an initial print of 200,000 – twice doubled from the original 50,000. Since its initial release, the novel has been translated into 26 different languages and rights of production have been sold in 38 countries. The book received mostly positive reviews from major reviewers and authors. The Hunger Games is the first novel in The Hunger Games trilogy, followed by Catching Fire, published on September 1, 2009, and Mockingjay, published on August 24, 2010. The plot is complex with each book in the series bringing in a new perspective of the situation Katniss is faced with. Collins manages to write it in a way that can bend your emotions without bias. She doesn’t glamorise one person and show a dislike for another. Writing this way keeps you guessing until the last second about any situation. What I liked best was that even though the way she writes is unpredictable, the plot conveys the message in a clear way. Panem is a completely different place than the world we live in. This is fantastic as we quickly become accustomed to this new world and find ourselves imagining standing right in the centre of the action. It's a great story that you can escape into. This novel is definitely a most read if you're searching for an action packed journey that will certainly keep you guessing and on the tip of your toes. With its nail-bitting plot as well as a tender romance, this is definitely an all-round novel that will cater for all readers.
A film adaptation, written and produced by Collins herself and directed by Gary Ross, will be released March 23, 2012. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale.

Film Review - The Women in Black
I saw this movie in the cinema recently and I thought it was brilliant. Before I saw it i didn't really know what to expect because it is Daniel Radcliffes first major role since Harry Potter and I didn't know if i would be able to think of him as any other character but Harry. However I had no reason to be worried as it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time and Radcliffe pulls off a stellar performance.
The movie follows Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe) who is a young, widowed lawyer with a three year old son. Kipps is given orders by his boss to go to an old isolated house outside a faraway village to sort out the paperwork of a recently deceased woman named Alice Dracklow. Kipps isn't too keen about going to the house after he hears bad stories about it when he arrives in the village, however he must do it or he will lose his job. When Kipps arrives at the house it is completely overgrown and very eerie. He starts his work but after a while he hears noises upstairs. He goes up and he sees the ghost of a woman. After he sees this woman bad things start happening to children in the village and Kipps discovers a secret about the family that used to live in the house. The movie has an unexpected twist at the end. I must admit I did scream quite a bit in the cinema but it was a brilliant movie and I would highly recommend people to go and see it.

Review- Westlife greatest hits cd
I have never been the biggest Westlife fan so when I recieved their greatest hits CD for Christmas I thought it would be one of those presents that I would throw in some drawer and never touch again. However one day when i was in my room and was very bored I decided to play the CD to see what it was like. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It had a great mix of lots of different Westlife songs from throughout the years going as far back as Uptown Girl. My favourite song on the CD is probably Flying without Wings but it contains all of their most popular songs such as Home and Raise Me Up. I would definetely recommend this CD as it has a great range of fast and upbeat tunes and slow emotional songs. It is also a good keepsake to remember Westlife by as it is the last cd that they will ever have out bacause they are splitting up. A good, general CD in my opinion!
